Mobile Work Crews provide work opportunities for individuals that need staff support present. Individuals develop specific task skills, and learn routine and how to work with supervisor and peers. Opportunities are open in many areas, including basic office assistance, food service, maintenance and janitorial, and landscaping

Emerge offers an array of horticultural programs and operates a wholesale greenhouse in Perry Hall, MD. See its page for further details

Enclaves in Business and Industry provide an opportunity for individuals with disabilities to go to work at various companies while having staff support and jobs that can be adapted to individual skill levels.

The Supported Employment Program, with both supported and competitive placements, is a partnership between Emerge and businesses to ensure the mutual success of customers with disabilities and the business served. The program provides individualized skill training, ongoing support in jobs, and entrepreneurial job development for individual customers, and enclave opportunities for customers who need staff present at all times.

For some individuals with disabilities, traditional employment does not work, but personal passions and skills can be converted into small business opportunities. Examples include lunch businesses, self-published writers, craft makers, etc.

Emerge is unique in providing individuals who are in part-time jobs the option to also participate in work crews and skill building program to provide a full day. Emerge also provides assistance with the use of public transportation, or specialized transportation if public services are not an option
