Emerge is committed to the concept that positive self-esteem is essential for individuals with disabilities to lead optimum lives. An essential part of that commitment involves fun and pleasure.  Emerge offers many varied social activities for each individual served, based on his or her preferences. Everyone is encouraged to take a vacation, and their are parties and events occurring each week at Emerge.  Emerge has an annual picnic at Six Flags Theme park, an annual awards banquet rivaled by none, and parties around all major events.  Many individuals at Emerge participate in Special Olympics, and there have been several state championships won by participants from Emerge.
