Emerge believes that all people can and should have the oppportunity to work. Work gives meaning to people's lives, and with the right support, time, patience and creativity, work can be an option for everyone with a disability. Emerge provides employment opportunities that include:
- Contractual work at Emerge for metropolitan companies
- Work Enclaves in industry
- Mobile Work Crews
- Supported Placements in private and public companies
- Competitive Job Placement in private and public companies
Many individuals are not fully employed or could be between jobs. Emerge offers 5 days a week of service. If an individual's job does not include 5 days, Emerge provides training and experiential opportunities for those days without work.
In order to help individuals with disabilities obtain and maintain employment Emerge offers interest inventory and work evaluations, training programs for specific task skills and appropriate work behavior, job finding, on the job coaching, transportation, and assistance with coordination of benefits and other rehabilitation services.
